The Old Man Did Not Hear Well—Part 1
An old man lived with a little girl. The old man did
not hear well. The little girl said to that man, “I will
see you soon.” ®
The man did not hear her. He said, “No, I do not
see the moon.” ©
The girl said, “I did not say that. I told you when
we will meet.” ©
The man said, “No, I am not on my seat.” ©
The girl said, “If you can read, I will make a
note.” And she did.
Here is that note: “I will see you soon.”
The old man said, “I can not see well. You will
have to talk to me.” ©
The girl said, “But he can not hear me when I talk
as loud as I can.” Then she shouted to the old man, “I
am going in a car.”©
The old man said, “No, I will not go far.” ®
“Not far,” the girl shouted. “Car, car.” Then the
girl took the hand of the old man and went outside.
She went to the car and said, “Look. Car. I will go in
our car. I will not walk.”
The old man said, “If you will not talk, how can I
hear you?”
