WikiWe Group Owners’ & Admins’ Pledge

1. Purpose

This WikiWe Group Owners’ & Admins’ Pledge (“Admin’s Pledge” or Pledge) is adopted by administrators of =this.owner-group to be to incorporate this pledge into the Group Compact. The Admin’s Pledge describes the essential qualifications, privileges and duties of =this.owner-group.

Qualifications

Responsibility for Selection and Appointment

Any =this.owner-group who by breaking their Admin’s Pledge damages the property, income, or reputation of any Member bears full responsibility for restoring the damage their pledge-breaking has caused. In addition, the Members who vouched for and/or appointed the =this.owner-group are responsible, inasmuch as is fair and reasonably possible, to assist with holding the =this.owner-group responsible, preventing further damage, and restoring order to any affected group channels and/or assets.

Membership

Each =this.owner-group must be answerable to all Members of the Primary Notice Channels they administer under WikiWe PDR, for restoration of damages or removal. This includes the Principles of Peacemaking and other agreements you may have already accepted.

Powers and Privileges

Each =this.owner-group has the powers and privileges to block and/or eject Group Members, to manage group settings, to disclose their opinions and decisions in the Primary Notice Channel, and to recruit other =this.owner-group. =this.owner-group may enjoy other powers such as allowed by the Primary Notice Channel(s) they administer, subject to the Access Assurance Pledge and prevailing privacy policy:

Promise to uphold equitable access to public and common resources

With privilege, power, and control over public and/or common resources and executive decisions like revoking a community library card:

• I pledge to
  • Uphold this Access Assurance Pledge and refrain from issuing demotes or penalty (e.g., revoke badges, ban, block, trespass, detain you, or refrain you dont-obstruct) and obstructing full use and benefit of the Commons (“Access Assurance Pledge”)
  • Nor will I direct, encourage, or instruct others with my authority to take action that will harm or obstruct the disputing parties “Disputants”
  • Until they have been given notice of a 5 minute warning of intervention and their right to a 5 minutes phone call to a neutral peacemaker (designated with active flare) and optionally a public peace officer at 911.
• I dutifully waive
  • my privilege and right to authorize or enforce any neutrally decided penalties including demote, ban, block, trespass, or the like dont-obstruct
  • Nevertheless, I reserve my right to penalize any unreasonable disputant only after another admin, owner, or peacemaker has conferred with the disputing parties and reviewed the facts and statements in due order to provide the benefit of the doubt and innocent until proven guilty.

Duties of The Group Owners

We, the undersigned Channel Admins, and each of us, pledge to be bound and answerable under WikiWe PDR in the event that any Member questions our exercise of our powers as Channel Admins.

We further pledge to exercise our powers and privileges faithfully, beneficially, and neutrally. This means acting with integrity and diligence, for the equal benefit of all Members of the Primary Notice Channel, without favoritism, bias, prejudice, or secret intents.

We further pledge to not remove any Member from the Primary Notice Channel without first pursuing the remedies according to WikiWe PDR, except when emergency action is reasonably warranted. Further, to the extent that emergency action is warranted, we will act lawfully, in reasonable proportion to the threats justifying emergency action, and seek inasmuch as is fair and reasonably possible to minimize unnecessary damage to any Member’s property, income, or reputation.

We further pledge to not resign from administering any active Primary Notice Channel of which we are the sole administrator, without first appointing another willing and qualified =this.owner-group to take our place.

Consent

We, and each of us, solemnly signify our consent to this WikiWe Group Owners’ & Admins’ Pledge by joining the Primary Notice Channel at =this.owner-group.
